Summary of the contracting process

The Tees Wide Mental Health Training Hub tender, issued by Stockton Borough Council, aims to address local training needs related to non-specialist mental health in the Stockton-On-Tees, Middlesbrough, and Redcar & Cleveland areas. The procurement process, classified under the health and social work services industry category, is currently in the award stage, having been published on 22nd December 2021. The tender period closed on 14th January 2022, and the subsequent contract, valued at £112,500, is set to commence on 1st April 2022 and conclude on 31st March 2023. The procurement method is an open procedure, allowing a broad range of participants.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in mental health training and related services. Companies that specialise in mental health promotion, suicide prevention training, or have capabilities in coordinating and delivering training programs would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) can particularly benefit from this opportunity, as the procurement is designed to accommodate their involvement in providing valuable training services across the specified local authority areas.
