Notice Description

NHS England - East of England would like to inform the market of an opportunity to provide Out of Hours NHS dental services across the Integrated Care Systems areas. It is anticipated that the service will be split for each of the respective Integrated Care Systems areas with a service commencement in 2023 (precise date to be confirmed). Lot 1 - Hertfordshire & West Essex - estimated contract value of approximately PS565k per annum Lot 2 - Mid & South Essex - estimated contract value of approximately PS161k per annum Lot 3 - North East Essex - estimated contract value of approximately PS67k per annum In the event where any bidder is awarded multiple lots as a result of the procurement, the finances will not be shared between Integrated Care Systems areas. Continuity of Out of Hours dental service provision is fundamental to ensure that the oral health needs of the population in these areas are met within the East of England and must be Dental Practitioner Led and provided by GDPs, dental nurses and other clinical professionals. The successful Provider(s) will be expected to: * Provide primary care dental services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive. * Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment. * Reduce unplanned admissions to hospital. * Ensure the opening hours will enable patients to seek urgent and unscheduled, face to face treatment from a GDP outside normal practice hours. This is purely an early engagement exercise; any subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when published. Please note that this expression of interest has been designed to allow the market visibility of the proposed opportunities and support early engagement. If your organisation wishes to express an interest, please register against Quote/tender 57079 - AG22501 - Expressions of Interest for Dental Out of Hours in Essex and Hertfordshire in EU Supply and return the short questionnaire no later than 12:00 Noon on 31st August 2022.
