Summary of the contracting process

Leeds City Council is seeking bids for a framework agreement titled "Supply of Telecare Equipment," aimed at fulfilling the requirements for goods supplied to Assisted Living Leeds and Middlesbrough Borough Council's Ayresome Industries. This open procurement process, valued at £400,000, will cover a range of telecare products for a period from 1st September 2017 until 31st August 2018, with the tender period closing on 17th July 2017. The procurement aims to enhance flexibility by allowing for annual updates to product specifications and the introduction of new suppliers. The products required include alarm units, sensors, and miscellaneous telecare equipment classified under medical equipments and personal care products.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) within the medical equipment and personal care market. With the framework set to potentially renew for up to two additional years, businesses that can innovate or offer varied telecare products will be well-placed to compete. Companies in the field of telecare solutions, including those providing cutting-edge technology for alarm and sensor systems, are encouraged to participate in this procurement process to establish a presence in this strategic supply chain.

Notice Description

This framework agreement is for the Supply of Telecare Equipment and covers the requirements of Leeds City Council for goods being delivered directly to Assisted Living Leeds and also to Middlesbrough Borough Council's Ayresome Industries.
