Notice Title

GB-London: Cyber Opportunity Areas Scoping

Notice Description

Research services. The contracting authority (DCMS) is looking to appoint a service provider to support ensuring that the UK's cyber sector is addressing the needs of the future. In particular, DCMS requires the service provider to map the technical challenges underlying current and emerging threats across the cyber-security landscape and use this to inform how these threats can be grouped and addressed by cutting edge research emerging from both UK and global research labs. This would be used to inform the following: -whether new companies can be created to specifically address these challenges more rapidly than the traditional spin-out process, and -what academic research the UK should be pursuing over the next 5 years in order to create a sustained advantage on the global stage and the DCMS cyber-security strategy more broadly. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
