Notice Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England - North Midlands, Mansfield and Ashfield CCG and Newark & Sherwood CCG (referred to as the Commissioners) under fully delegated commissioning arrangements are inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver the Services of Primary Care Medical Services for Lot 1: Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre and Lot 2: Balderton Primary Care Centre. The service is anticipated to commence on 1st October 2018 for a contract duration of 5 years till 30 September 2023 under the NHS England Standard Alternative Provider Medical Services Contract 2017/18. The Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre is open 5 days a week from 8:00am until 6:30pm, with extended opening on Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm. The practice is located within the Ashfield Health Village area of Nottinghamshire on Portland Street which consists of predominantly modernised pre and post-war properties. It is anticipated that there will be further housing developments within the area in the future. The Kirkby Community Primary Care Centre latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report (Dec 2017) confirms the service is rated as Good overall. The practice has 5,742 registered patients and it is anticipated that this will grow at a steady rate due to residential developments planned over the coming months/years.The practice is located within a NHS Property Services building which was a former community hospital building. The Balderton Primary Care Centre is open 5 days a week from 8:00am until 6:30pm, with extended opening on Tuesday evening until 8:00pm. and on Friday morning from 7:00am - 8:00pm The practice is located within the Fernwood area of Newark on Lowfield Lane. It is anticipated that there will be further housing developments within the area in the future due to expansion of the Fernwood development. The Balderton Community Primary Care Centre latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report (Dec 2017) confirms the service is rated as Good overall. The practice has 5,470 registered patients and it is anticipated that this will grow at a significant rate once residential developments begin to be built. The practice is located within a purpose built lift building Additional information: Arden & GEM CSU is managing this Procurement in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (the "Regulations"). The Services are being procured as "Schedule 3 - Social and Other Specific Services" and AGCSU is bound only by those parts of the Regulations applying to Schedule 3 services.
