Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Croydon is conducting a soft market test titled "Children With Disabilities - Soft Market Testing" to explore potential service provisions for disabled children and young people in the region. This initiative is part of the planning stage and aims to engage with suppliers regarding short break provision, care packages, family support, and parent/carer assessments. The deadline for submissions of the market test questionnaire is 28th August 2020. The procurement process follows an informal tender method and is classified under health and social work services, further identifying Croydon as its location.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialise in health and social care services, particularly those focused on support for children with disabilities and their families. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be particularly well-suited to participate, as the Council is seeking insights and capabilities from the market to inform future service delivery. Engaging in this process can help businesses align their offerings with the Council's needs and prepare for any upcoming formal tender opportunities that may arise from this planning activity.
