Group Heat Pump Purchase Scheme - Market Engagement
Notice Description
In line with its commitment to taking action on climate change, Essex County Council (ECC) through its Essex Climate Action Commission (ECAC), has recommended to 'Retrofit across the whole housing stock by 2040, introduce an incentive to accelerate the shift to low carbon heating solutions.'. with the Commission seeing a critical role decarbonising the housing stock and heat with electric heating a key piece to the puzzle. In view of the above, ECC is keen to explore opportunities to provide collective heat pump purchasing schemes for residents via a contracted managing agent. The contracted managing agent will handle customer service, provide trusted installer(s) with capacity for large scale roll out of heat pumps, and furnish ECC with an extensive reporting system. If you a managing agent and feel you can meet the Council's objectives and requirement, please submit an Intent to Respond, download the Market Engagement Pack and respond to the questionnaire in it. Further details and the Market Engagement Pack can be located via the Council's e-sourcing portal, ProContract: https://procontract.due-north.com/Login. Log in as a Supplier and search the following: DN719647 / Group Heat Pump Purchase Scheme - Market Engagement. If you do not have an account, supplier registration is free of charge at https://procontract.due-north.com/Register and it provides access to all current and forthcoming procurement opportunities for Essex County Council alongside several other public sector organisations. The deadline for the questionnaire responses is Friday 17th May 2024 at 2:00pm; all responses should be submitted via ProContract. Please note that this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition and as such you will need to express your interest in any future tender opportunity once the contract notice is published in Find a Tender and on Contracts Finder.
