Notice Title

006045 - Equipment Self Assessment

Notice Description

006045 Equipment Self Assessment - Supplier Engagement Event This is an invitation for suitable providers that can offer a web based system which supports people to self-assess and find solutions to be able to carry out basic and more complex activities of daily living. The system must offer a continuum of advice and information, which supports the requirements of the council's statutory responsibility to provide advice and signposting on care services. As well as providing the council with a database of information on people living in Newcastle who have accessed the system and data around the information they have accessed, which should highlight their needs. The solution must cover areas of the home or other activities which the person is having difficulty with as attributed from Mokken scaling including: around the home - bathroom, bedroom, personal - dressing, washing, memory, feeling safe and secure at home, hearing, eyesight and getting around outside the home. The solutions include exercises, advice, signposting to appropriate providers, referral to the Occupational Therapists team or other social care teams as appropriate for assessment and further support including aids and adaptations. This event is free of charge. No expenses will be paid by the Council for your attendance. Event Date: 27th February 2018 Location: Model Room 1 Newcastle City Council Civic Centre Newcastle Upon Tyne NE1 8QH 1 hour sessions will be scheduled, in which we intend to discuss the capabilities and functionality of your product as well as offer an insight in to the Council's requirements.
