** THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT SURVEY ONLY ** Birmingham and Solihull (Birmingham Cross City CCG / Birmingham South Central CCG / Solihull CCG) are looking to procure Community Ophthalmology Services and the procurement will be split into two areas: 1 - Minor Eye Conditions (Birmingham Cross City and Birmingham South Central CCGs) Activity for this lot is anticipated to be (3 year total, not per annum) Minor Eye Conditions 1st appointment = 23,241, Follow Up = 1,681, Triage = 905, Intra-Occular Pressure Testing 1st appointment = 1,970, Follow Up = 699, Cataract Referral Refinement = 3,362 referrals assessed. 2 - Community Medical Ophthalmology (Tier 2) (Birmingham Cross City / Birmingham South Central / Solihull CCGs) 13,789 appointments per annum with a total anticipated spend per annum of PS838,761. 1st appointment - 5,243 Follow up - 8,546 The CCGs are looking to engage with the market with regard to the Community Medical Ophthalmology element of the procurement in this instance. In particular, commissioners are seeking to gain an understanding of how the market would envisage delivering the service, with particular reference to the scale of the service offering and whether providers would see it as advantageous for this service to be split into geographical lots or if they would envisage an at-scale offering across Birmingham and Solihull to be advantageous. Providers are asked to complete a survey via Survey Monkey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MJSR8JV in order to assist Commissioners in the decision making process.
