Notice Title

Digital Leadership Training for Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)

Notice Description

Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to NHS Providers (NHSP). The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. Heath Education England [HEE] believe that NHS Providers is the only organisation capable of providing support such as to meet specific requirements of the HEE national Digital Readiness Programme. NHSP is the only supplier with the requisite expertise, reach and experience to assist HEE in fulfilling Mandate deliverables and actions of UK government policy including the Long-Term Plan and People Plan. Specifically: building digital and data leadership expertise and strong board-level accountability for digital transformation - this includes having a CIO or CCIO (or role within this function) on the ICS board; establishing ICS board governance to regularly review digital and data strategy, cyber security, services, delivery and risks, underpinned by meaningful metrics and targets; owning a digital and data strategy that has had wide input from clinical representatives from across the organisation; ensuring board ownership of a digital and data strategy that is linked to the ICS strategy and underpinned by a sustainable financial plan; identifying digital and data solutions to improve care by regularly engaging with frontline users and citizens; investing in regular board development sessions to develop digital competence, manage cyber security risk and achieve the sustainability agenda; investing in a multidisciplinary CCIO and CNIO function. HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the following service provided by NHSP as a current supplier for the following reasons as outlined within the Case for Direct Award. For the Specification, Contract and the Case for Direct Award please access the portal at: https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects All communications should be made via the messaging function on the Health Family eTendering portal. If any provider has concerns with the commissioning intentions outlined within the published documentation, please raise this via the eTendering Portal in the first instance within 30 days of the date of this Prior Information Notice.
