Notice Title

TC887 - Framework: Provision of Mediation and Restorative Justice Service

Notice Description

The Council seeks to commission the delivery of interpersonal community Mediation and Restorative Meetings from a list of Approved Providers. The majority of mediation cases referred will involve concerns about anti social behaviour, noise, differences in lifestyle and communication difficulties. These cases will involve neighbour disputes and wider concerns affecting a community. A smaller number of cases will involve a dispute between a young person and a parent / carer when there is a risk of homelessness. The cases referred for a Restorative Meeting may involve a criminal offence when a decision to prosecute is pending. If both parties successfully participate in the Restorative Meeting the offender will not be prosecuted for the offence. We aim to increase anti social behaviour referrals when reports have been made to the Local Authority outside of the criminal justice system. Additional information: The Council is using the e-business portal known as the Chest. Applicants will need to register their details at the following link www.the-chest.org.uk. Applicants will need to electronically submit their completed tender documents, including online questionnaire, via the on-line portal by 11am on Monday, 7th November 2022.
