Staying Independent at Home

Notice Description

In March 2022 Birmingham City Council Cabinet approved the Staying Independent at Home Policy for implementation. This started the journey that we have been on to look at how in the future adaptations, key safes, minor works and other support can be provided to support citizens to stay living independently within their own home. The focus for the wider discretionary support is for those citizens who are being discharged from hospital or where without support would otherwise end up in hospital or residential care unnecessarily. We are now looking to engage with the market to provide further details of the proposed future delivery model for these services, as well as enabling a networking opportunity for the wider market. A meet the buyer market engagement event will take place on Thursday 17th November 2022, 9:30am -12:00noon at Kenrick Centre, Mill Farm Road, Birmingham B17 0QX. Following a presentation given by Council representatives on the new model, there will be the opportunity for interested suppliers to ask any relevant questions, a light lunch will also be provided. If you are interested in attending, please register on the Eventbrite link Staying Independent at Home Adaptations Service - Market Engagement Event Tickets, Thu 17 Nov 2022 at 09:30 | Eventbrite . If you are unable to attend and would like further information you can email ILTCST@birmingham.gov.uk for a copy of the presentation slides and Q&A responses following the event. It must be noted that this market engagement event is not the start of a formal procurement process and no statement made by any party during the market engagement meetings will form a part of the subsequent procurement processes.
