Invitation to a Healthy Lifestyle Service - Market Engagement Event 22 March 2019 1.30- 4 in Exeter. Devon County Council commissioned a new healthy lifestyle offer after extensive development and insight work, the service was originally commissioned in 2016/17 as two lots one for a holistic lifestyle service and the other for a Specialist Stop Smoking Service. Further insight work and an evaluation of the first two years has supported the approach to inform, enable and support individuals who wish to make changes to be more active, understand the harms from alcohol, maintain a healthy weight and quit or reduce harms from smoking. The digital offer has been well accessed and is an essential component of a future healthy lifestyle model but it is clear many individuals need more direct support. Devon is a large rural county with a population of over 780,000, there are a number of market towns and the City of Exeter.
