Notice Description

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGEM CSU) on behalf of the Commissioners, NHS Nene Clinical Commissioning Group & NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group, is inviting service providers to a Stakeholder event to engage in early development of the service specification for the provision of NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours (OOHs) services within Northamptonshire. In Northamptonshire, NHS Nene and NHS Corby CCGs currently commissions three providers to deliver GP Out of Hours (OOHs) and NHS 111 provision. The CCGs vision is to commission NHS 111 and GP OOHs services, which will: * meet the needs of the population of Northamptonshire; * Provide a consistent, seamless and integrated service to improve patient experience and deliver better health outcomes; * Aligns the commissioning of NHS 111 and GP OOH services to the Integrated Care Closer to Home agenda, the Acute Trust Primary Care Streaming Services and support the development of ambulatory care services, minor injuries and other services within the Urgent Care System. * Promotes the integration agenda as outlined in the NHS Five Year Forward View, * Allows holistic commissioning of clear patient pathways underpinned by the appropriate and payment mechanisms supporting the whole patient journey. Service commencement date is anticipated to be 01st April 2016.
