Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Shared Business Services is initiating a procurement process for the "Digitisation of Health Records" on behalf of the NHS Hammersmith & Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCCG). This process is currently in the planning stage, with the aim of gathering insights and feedback from interested suppliers regarding the digitisation of health records in Hammersmith & Fulham. An engagement deadline has been set for 3:00 PM on 30th January 2018, where providers are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest through the Market Engagement Questionnaire as part of this market engagement notice.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health informatics and digital services, particularly those experienced in providing electronic health record solutions or consultation services. Companies that can demonstrate innovative approaches to health record management, as well as an understanding of the integration with existing clinical systems like TPP SystmOne, would be well-placed to compete. Engaging in this process could enable businesses to influence the procurement strategy and potentially secure contracts that contribute to patient care improvements in the NHS.

Notice Title

Digitisation of Health Records on behalf of NHS Hammersmith & Fulham CCG

Notice Description

NHS Hammersmith & Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCCG) is looking to engage with appropriately qualified and experienced providers to express their interest and inform the design of a system for the digitisation of health records within the Hammersmith & Fulham borough. The aim of this early market engagement exercise is also to gauge potential interest in this contract opportunity and field for innovative service models. All feedback received will assist to determine the CCGs procurement strategy including whether a competitive procurement process is appropriate; specifically the CCG requires your input and help in defining and providing supporting information that is relevant to this service. The aim of the service is to provide practices with electronic copies of their patients' Lloyd George records (paper records), freeing up space within practice premises. The records would ideally be linked to TPP SystmOne which is the clinical system used by all 29 of our practices. Expressions of interest are now invited by way of completion and return of the attached Market Engagement Questionnaire by 3pm, 30th January 2018. Additional information: Participation in the engagement exercise is not a mandatory requirement for participating in any potential future procurement; however, responses received will assist to inform the Commissioner as to the level of interest from the market and will be used to evidence a decision as to whether or not to undertake a competitive procurement. CONFIRMATION OF YOUR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IS THEREFORE IMPORTANT. Please help to return this questionnaire by no later than 3pm, 30th January 2018 to Coral.McNeilly@nw.london.nhs.uk.
