Notice Description

Description of the works The works comprises of repairs to carriageway (totalling 8,646 miles) surfaces including potholes, patching in carriageways and edge of carriageway repairs to roads identified by the Employer. The works are provided in the following ways: Find and Fix (1) - The Contractor travels roads within the county to identify and carry out identified works with the appropriate repair and with suitable traffic management Find and Fix (2) - The Contractor is directed by the client down specified roads where repairs are needed and the contractor carries out as many repairs as possible with the appropriate repair and with suitable traffic management Planned works - Works are identified by the client and works are programmed by the contractor Each year the ratio of the types of works will be defined by the condition of the highway network. This may mean that more find and fix (1) works are carried out after a period of winter damage. The works include all necessary traffic management, road markings, adjustment to ironwork and the provision of records and photographs of work executed. No guarantee is given of the volume of work required.
