Summary of the contracting process

NHS Calderdale CCG is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process for the "Provision of a Managed Telehealth Service Market Test," aimed at delivering health services within the Yorkshire and the Humber region of England. The engagement end date for interested parties to submit their expressions of interest is set for 10 March 2021. This procurement, which follows a tender initiation type, seeks a digital health solution that can monitor vital signs for patients with long-term conditions at home, directly involving a potential service commencement on 1 April 2021.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses offering telehealth solutions and digital health technologies. Companies specialising in health IT, particularly those equipped to provide managed care systems or remote patient monitoring services, would be well-suited to compete in this process. Interested businesses should demonstrate their experience in telehealth service delivery, capacity for timely mobilisation, and pricing models based on a cost-per-patient approach, fostering an avenue for growth in an expanding healthcare sector.

Notice Title

NHS Calderdale CCG: The Provision of a Managed Telehealth Service Market Test

Notice Description

NHS Calderdale CCG is seeking to commission a managed telehealth service for the lifetime of 44 patients, from 1 April 2021. The supply, installation and maintenance of a digital health solution to be able to monitor/test the vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturations, temperature) of people with long-term conditions living in their own homes. The solution to have the options of both Bluetooth and manual input, and readings to be able to be securely accessed remotely by authorised clinicians. The device should include a tablet with peripherals or a portal and peripherals. An automated system at a pre-agreed time, will notify the individual daily when they are due to take their reading. The individual is asked questions around their general health and well-being and will record their reading. Potential Providers to propose how much it would cost to provide the service to 44 patients, for their lifetime, based on a cost per patient model, therefore, as the patient numbers reduce, the contract value would reduce. Additional information: Based on the details in the document entitled 'Service Requirements' found in the supplier attachment area, the CCG is keen to receive expressions of interest from suitably qualified potential bidders Your response should include: Overview of your organisation(s) and experience in providing a managed telehealth service. That your interest is based on a clear understanding of the requirements set out in this notice. Confirmation of your capacity and capability to be able to mobilise the service to commence in April 2021. Proposed service model that links to the requirements set out in this notice. Propose how much it would cost to provide the service to 44 patients, for their lifetime, based on a cost per patient model, therefore, as the patient numbers reduce, the contract value would reduce. Please note that an expression of interest in delivering the managed telehealth service is not a tender response. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in the tender process nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest. The market response to this notice will be used to inform the commissioner's view as to any future process to select the most suitable approach to meet its commissioning intentions. This does not commit the CCG to undertake the procurement of the managed telehealth service. The CCG has the right to withdraw this notice. If you would like to submit a response for this service, please express your interest by registering on NHS Sourcing (https://www.nhssourcing.co.uk/web/login.html) reference pqq_29582. Once registered, potential providers will be able to complete and upload their submission.
