Notice Description
Under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 the MOD has a legal duty to take reasonable steps to "further the conservation and enhancement of the special features of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). The condition of SSSIs is monitored by the statutory conservation bodies (SBs), and compliance is monitored by both SBs and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).
