Summary of the contracting process

The University of Sheffield is currently seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) services. This procurement falls under the category of Research and Development Consultancy Services and the buyer aims to engage approximately 3 to 4 suppliers with expertise in the higher education sector. The tendering process is open and follows an OJEU Open Procedure, allowing submissions until the deadline of 2nd November 2020 at 12 noon (UK time). Services are expected to commence from 1st December 2020 with a contract duration of three years, extending through to 30th November 2023, based in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in consultancy services, particularly those focusing on the academic sector. Companies with experience in securing partnerships and writing KTPs will find themselves well-placed to participate. As KTPs require submissions every two months, firms that can respond quickly and effectively, leveraging their understanding of the higher education landscape, will be particularly suited to capitalise on this opportunity for growth.
