Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Merton is conducting a tender for the "Development and implementation of a Social Prescribing Pilot for children and young people in Merton," a health services project aimed at improving child health outcomes. The procurement is currently in the Award stage, having published the award notice on 25th July 2022. The contract, valued at £84,926, is set to commence on 28th July 2022 and conclude on 23rd July 2023. The project focuses on initiatives to address child obesity and emotional well-being, making it particularly relevant in the current context of post-COVID recovery.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for organisations specialising in health services, particularly those with experience in community health and social prescribing. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-suited to compete, given their potential to deliver tailored, holistic health interventions. With a focus on collaborative and family-centred approaches, businesses that can demonstrate effective engagement strategies with children and families will be particularly advantageous in this procurement process.
