Summary of the contracting process

The Watford Borough Council is currently inviting tender applications for the "Cassiobury Park Wetland Restoration Works," aimed at restoring a wetland habitat in Cassiobury Park located in Watford, Hertfordshire. GB-Watford: Cassiobury Park Wetland Restoration Works

Notice Description

Tenders are to be invited for the restoration of a wetland habitat in Cassiobury Park on the River Gade in Watford, Hertfordshire. The works comprise restoration of the former watercress beds (a designated Local Nature Reserve) in to a biodiverse habitat, along with creating a number of river features such as meanders, riffles and backwaters. A large part of the works involves desilting channels to the former water cress beds and making bunds on site. This is a two phase process with initial works commencing in November 2021. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. This is an Expression of Interest phase - Please see attached Expression of Interest.
