Summary of the contracting process

Croydon Council is inviting tenders for the "Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice & Support Service (SENDIASS)" to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families. This procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 22nd April 2021 at 14:00 BST. The anticipated contract start date is 1st June 2021, and the overall contract duration is two years, with an option for a one-year extension. This project falls under the Health and Social Work Services category, and eligible providers are expected to comply with the London Living Wage. Interested organisations should apply via the London Tenders Portal.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses experienced in delivering support services tailored to individuals with SEND. Companies that specialise in health and social care services, particularly those focusing on educational support and advocacy, would be well-suited to compete for this contract. Furthermore, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, as Croydon Council aims to award the contract to a single supplier that maintains an independence from mediation services within the borough.
