Summary of the contracting process

Thurrock Council is currently engaged in a tender for a service titled "Living Well at Home," aimed at enhancing independence and health outcomes for service users in the East of England. This procurement falls under the health and social work services category, with a total of seven lots available for bidding across various areas including Orsett, Aveley, and Stanford le Hope. The tender period closes on 28 July 2017, and the contract is scheduled to commence on 1 March 2018, running until 28 February 2023. The process follows a selective procurement method, specifically a restricted procedure, ensuring that only qualified bidders can participate.

This tender presents significant opportunities for business growth, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that specialise in health and social care services. Companies that can demonstrate effectiveness in delivering services that enhance the social and environmental well-being of the local community are well-suited to compete. Furthermore, the diversity of lots allows for tailored proposals, enabling different businesses to align their strengths with the specific needs of the regions being served.
