Summary of the contracting process

The Football Foundation has completed the procurement process for the "Football Foundation Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) Supplier Framework 2020." This framework, valued at £242 million, focuses on the construction industry, specifically for the design, supply, and installation of artificial grass pitches for sports playing surfaces. The procurement method was an open procedure, with the tender period ending on 6th April 2020 and the contract period running from 8th April 2020 to 7th April 2024. The geographical scope covers the United Kingdom and other regions including British Overseas Territories, the Channel Islands, and Europe.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the construction and sports facility sectors, particularly those that specialise in artificial grass installation and related services. Companies that can demonstrate capabilities in large-scale construction projects would be well-suited to compete. The involvement of public sector bodies like schools and not-for-profit sports clubs further encourages engagement from suppliers that value community-oriented projects and sustainable practices.
