Notice Title

Soft Market Test for Day Activities - St Owens Cross

Notice Description

Herefordshire Council currently commissions day services on a spot placement arrangement with various organisations. An opportunity has arisen for providers to support a cohort of existing service users, adults with a learning disability in Hereford City centre. These people have varying levels of need and typically this service supports people with the most complex needs including one-to-one care. The current provider is under contract to deliver the service until 30th November 2018. As a result, we are looking at possible solutions to ensure continuity of support to the existing cohort but are open to ideas on how this can be achieved. There is the potential for any interested provider to continue the service in the current buildings, St Owens Hub, Symonds Street Hereford which is a shared site with Barr's Court Sixth form college, and Centre 18 which the service has sole use of as a therapeutic resource. Although the location is specific we are open to possible solutions and options available to meet the needs of these individuals, and would want to work with a provider on a vision and future model that will meet the needs of this cohort through participation in and with the community. Herefordshire Council would be interested to hear from any providers who might be interested in providing activities to meet people's needs of current and future individuals.
