Summary of the contracting process

Notice Description

Modification Notice Original description: i.The Lot 1 Delivery Partner (DP) will work closely with BEIS to develop and update country strategies and implementation plans for priority countries, based on a sound understanding of the political economy and the barriers to emissions reduction in each country. They will work through a new or existing in-country partner in each priority country to ensure that the strategy is well-informed and delivery is overseen effectively. ii.They will allocate funds for technical assistance in these countries in line with the country strategies, work through expert organisations, ensure that existing work is scaled up where appropriate, and work to build capacity in-country to develop solutions to the barriers identified. iii.This DP will also be responsible for UK PACT's external communications. Description of the modifications Lot 1 Contract with Palladium is being extended, revised end date to be 31st March 2023, revised contract value to be PS7,769,611.50. Lot 2 Contract with ICF Consulting Services Ltd, revised end date to be 30th June 2023, revised contract value to be PS4,677,750. Lot 3 Contract with PA Consulting Services Limited, revised end date to be 31st March 2023, revised contract value to be PS7,121,364. Grant disbursement value to increase to PS70m. Non significant changes to services in Contracts. Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: As permitted in the Contract and tender documentation the three Contracts with Delivery Partners are being extended, however not for the 2+1 duration identified, but for a shorter unit of time to accommodate future changes to programme funding which cannot be accommodated in existing Contract. This modification is permitted under Public Contract Regulations 2015 72 (1)(b). New procurement of services to commence activities with Prior Information Notice to be issued October 2021.
