Summary of the contracting process

Birmingham City Council is seeking quotations for the "QU100 Construction Training" project, aimed at delivering accredited construction training to unemployed residents in Birmingham and Solihull. This procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 5th February 2018. The contract period will commence on 16th February 2018 and conclude on 30th June 2018. The selected provider will administer a range of construction training accredited by various qualifications, including NVQ Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, amongst others. The procurement will utilise Birmingham City Council's e-tendering system, in-tend.

This tender presents considerable opportunities for businesses that specialise in vocational training, particularly those focused on construction and safety certifications. Companies with the capacity to deliver or subcontract extensive training programmes for unemployed individuals looking to gain qualifications in the construction field would be particularly well-suited to participate. With a clear focus on community improvement and support for job seekers, businesses that align their services with these societal goals may find a strong case for winning this contract.
