Summary of the contracting process

The Mary Seacole Scholarships tender, presented by Health Education England, focuses on providing leadership development for nurses and midwives in publicly funded services in England. This procurement falls under the education and training services category and has been awarded a contract valued at £49,648. The contract is active, with a period spanning from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022, following a successful tendering process that concluded on 8 January 2021. The open procurement method allows for a competitive and transparent selection of suppliers.

This initiative presents significant growth opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) involved in educational services, particularly for those focused on health and community development. Companies that can provide quality training and leadership development programmes tailored to the healthcare sector will be particularly well-suited to compete in this tender. Engaging in such projects also enables businesses to contribute meaningfully to health outcomes and address inequalities faced by BAME communities.
