Notice Description

The Borough Council of Newcastle-under-Lyme are looking to procure the provision of Occupational Health Services. Principal Requirements include: > Provision of advice and guidance on best practice relating to relevant occupational health matters proactively and professionally including Health and Safety considerations. > Provision of high quality, and timely support, advice and guidance in response to individual occupational issues with possible health and safety implications. > Maintenance, review and updating of confidential health records in accordance with agreed principles and the requirements of Equalities Act, GDPR, Human Rights Act (HRA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOI). It must be ensured that effective business continuity measures are in place to protect and preserve records. > Compiling and analysing statistical information to identify trends and propose areas for further action including DNA rates and repeat appointments. > Ensure effective consultation and communication with the Council. > Provision of timely and accurate management information with clear and accessible management advice. > Provision of efficient timely administrative support for occupational health services. > Documentation must be standard across the Council. > Relevant management reports to be communicated directly with the referring manager through mutually agreed means. Advice on proactive approach to managing attendance. > To support the client in effective management of employees by supplying accurate assessments and sound advice to the employer primarily to enable managers to make timely and appropriate decisions concerning the future employment relationship. > Provision of support and training information to managers on handling health matters with individuals and groups. > Timely and effective completion of pre-employment checks and where applicable immunisations.
