Summary of the contracting process

The Council of the Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Associations (CRFCA) is initiating the Reserve Estate Optimisation Programme (REOP) - Tranche 1 Pre-Market Engagement. This tender, classified under the construction industry category, aims to enhance the efficiency of the Volunteer Estate over a delivery timescale of 30 months, commencing January 2022. The procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 31 August 2022. A virtual supplier information session is scheduled for 27 July 2022, designed to enlighten potential suppliers about the REOP and the associated requirements. The estimated project duration runs from 2 October 2023 to 1 July 2025.

This procurement process represents an excellent opportunity for businesses in the construction sector, particularly those with capabilities in building and refurbishing facilities. Companies that can efficiently manage complex construction projects and offer innovative solutions for the cadet experience would be particularly well-suited to compete. By participating in this engagement, businesses can potentially tap into a significant government investment aimed at modernising the Volunteer Estate, just as the Programme progresses through its planned tranches.
