Summary of the contracting process

The Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is currently undertaking a procurement process for the "19-161 Post CSE Support" services, aimed at providing practical and emotional support as well as counselling for individuals affected by child sexual exploitation in Rotherham. This initiative falls under the health and social work services category, with the contract set to commence on 1st January 2021 and span a duration of three years, alongside an option for a two-year extension. Prospective providers must submit their tenders by 15:00 on 30th July 2020, following an open procurement procedure that seeks a range of experienced suppliers capable of meeting the outlined service specifications in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) with the relevant expertise in social work and therapeutic interventions. Bidders can compete for one or multiple lots—ranging in financial allocation from £33,000 to £78,000 per annum—while being encouraged to form consortiums. A successful bid not only supports vulnerable individuals within the community but also allows businesses to enhance their service offerings, expand their client base, and establish long-term contracts within the public sector.
