Summary of the contracting process

The Connected Consultants Framework, initiated by Octavia Housing on behalf of The Connected Partnership, aims to establish a consultancy framework for architects and employer's agents to support a substantial £450 million development programme in London. The procurement process is currently at the award stage, with the contract period starting from 4th May 2020 and running until 3rd May 2024. The tender had a budget of £1.8 million and was conducted through a selective procurement method using a restricted procedure. The business focuses on delivering new build accommodation and regeneration schemes, with the procurement covering services classified under architectural, construction, engineering, and inspection services.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary or community sector enterprises (VCSEs) that specialise in construction consultancy services. Businesses with expertise in architecture, project management, cost consultancy, and inspection services would be well-positioned to compete. With a diverse range of projects anticipated, including works contracts and joint ventures across the capital, this framework could facilitate engagement in significant public development initiatives.
