The British Council employs over 10,500 staff worldwide. It has its headquarters in the UK, with offices in London, Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh. Further information can be viewed at www.britishcouncil.org. The British Council is recognised as a business leader in international English and exams r. We expect to provide exams for around four million (or more) candidates in 2019-20. English & Exams Strategic Business Unit (E&E SBU) is looking for a solution supporting one of our core business competences - exams audit assessment and quality assurance. For the purpose of this request the system is called EQCS2 (Exams Quality & Compliance System 2). E&E SBU is looking for further information on goods and/or services within the marketplace to meet the requirements set out below. We look forward to hearing about your capabilities but would emphasise that this RFI is intended not to require significant new material to be prepared but is an opportunity for you to demonstrate how your goods and/or services can fulfil our requirements. Currently Business Assurance, Security and Risk (part of E&E SBU) operates in over 100 countries and there are almost 1400 active system users around the world. In order to facilitate flexible working and ensure systems integration, we are looking to procure a cloud-based, risk management solution with customisation features, allowing the Exams Business Assurance team to achieve specific advantages. For more detailed requirements description, please see point 4 below. At this stage we are not looking for a detailed plan or delivery proposal as this will be requested at the Request for Proposal/Invitation to Tender stage. However, it would be helpful if you could also provide an indicative estimate of cost (not a quotation) and likely timescales required to deliver this project.
