The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to engage with the market with a view to shaping the procurement of a contractor to deliver the teacher sabbatical pilot. The purpose of the pilot is to produce an evidence base about what works in terms of delivering effective sabbaticals that benefit the individual teacher, their school and the provider. We are now exploring options for the delivery of the pilot. This is in preparation to procure a contractor to deliver the teacher sabbatical pilot in early/mid 2019. Additional information: We are seeking advice from the market to help inform the development of the teacher sabbatical pilot. We value the views of potential providers and are therefore requesting information to assist our scoping of the procurement. This is not an invitation to bid, it is solely a request for information. No direct business will be awarded as a result of completing this Request for Information (RFI). Responding to this RFI will not advantage or disadvantage any supplier in the future procurement. Organisations that are interested in this anticipated opportunity are invited to attend a Market Engagement Webinar on 9 October and to respond to an RFI questionnaire. This will assist DfE to gain a greater understanding of the market and help shape any contract that it will procure.
