Notice Title

Early Market Engagement - Extra Care Housing

Notice Description

Extra Care is the provision of housing with care and support to enable older adults to develop or maintain their independence, minimise the risk of social exclusion and improve their quality of life, thus preventing loss of their home or tenancy and the otherwise unnecessary use of more institutional forms of care. Extra Care also offers a way of supporting older adults to live independently with care and support available on the premises 24 hours a day. It gives security and privacy within people's own home with a range of facilities and the option to join in with communal activities if they so wish.
