Summary of the contracting process

The NHS England is currently seeking providers for a tender titled "In Practice Development (Clinical Pharmacists)", focusing on the training of clinical pharmacists under the General Practice Forward View initiative. This procurement falls within the services category, specifically under staff training services, with a total budget of £4,250,000. The tender is part of an open procurement process and is actively seeking submissions until the deadline on 29th June 2018. The contract period is set to commence on 7th September 2018, lasting until 31st July 2022, with opportunities spanning multiple regions across the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in training and developing healthcare staff, particularly those specialising in clinical pharmacy. Smaller enterprises and those with a focus on innovative training techniques would be particularly well-suited to compete in this process. The large scale of the programme, aimed at integrating an additional 1,500 clinical pharmacists into general practice, suggests substantial growth potential for providers able to deliver high-quality training solutions tailored to the needs of NHS practices.
