Summary of the contracting process

The West Midlands Combined Authority is planning a virtual conference titled "Mayoral and HS2 Supply Chain Summit for SME's 2022," scheduled for 9 June 2022. This event aims to provide insights on the £100 billion HS2 infrastructure project, crucial for the West Midlands and beyond. The summit will focus on the collaborative efforts to maximise benefits for local SMEs, with an engagement deadline set for 8 June 2022. This initiative falls under the construction industry category and highlights opportunities within a major procurement process designed to foster local business engagement.

This summit presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs). Participants will learn about entering the HS2 supply chain and hearing success stories from local businesses already involved in the project. Companies offering construction-related services, infrastructure support, and innovative solutions tailored to large-scale projects will find this summit especially relevant as they position themselves to seize forthcoming opportunities arising from the HS2 initiative.
