Contracts for projects which will support more and better provision of teachers' continuing professional development (CPD) and Leadership Development, focussed on challenging areas and schools. The Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund (TLIF), announced by the Secretary of State for Education in October 2016, aims to improve pupil outcomes in priority areas by: * Stimulating more and better provision of teachers' CPD and Leadership Development in challenging areas and schools; * Stimulating demand for provision of teachers' CPD and Leadership Development in challenging areas and schools; * Support development of a sustainable market in CPD and Leadership Development that will be capable of becoming self-funding in the future The Department for Education expects to run a limited number of TLIF bidding rounds during the current spending review period (ending March 2020). This contract notice pertains to Round 1 only. Additional information: Please note the deadline for receipt of tenders is 9am on 2nd May 2017. Estimated total value: The total value of the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund is PS75m. The Authority's current thinking is to award no more than PS10 million (inclusive of any VAT) for any given contract within any Lot over its lifetime under this first Round. The Authority reserves the right to extend any contract by up to 24 months. A supplier WebEx Event will take place at 14:30 on 30 April for interested organisations to gain a better understanding of the TLIF scheme. Details of how to register for this event are provided in the Authority's documentation. This event will be recorded and the recording made available in Redimo2. Please note that all questions about Round 1 must now be submitted through Redimo2 and not through the TLIF mailbox. DfE will use an e-tendering system (REDIMO2- see above to register and take part in section 4) in this procurement exercise and reserves the right to use reverse auction. DfE considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of bidders will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. If the potential supplier bidding for the requirement is part of a consortium joint venture or special purpose vehicle (SPV), DfE will require full details of the consortium joint venture or SPV.
