The procurement falls under the 'Provision of services to the community' industry category and is located in the West Midlands, United Kingdom. The process has reached the award stage as of 16th September 2024, with contracts commencing on 1st October 2024 and running until 30th September 2028, with an option to extend up to three additional 12-month periods. This contract, with a total value of £543,900, was awarded to Voiceability and includes two distinct lots: Volunteer relevant person service under DoLS and Care Act Advocacy, Independent Mental Capacity Advocate service, and Paid Relevant Persons Representative under DoLS.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in advocacy and care services, particularly those that can provide independent non-instructed advocacy for vulnerable adults under statutory duties mandated by the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to participate, as the contract is deemed suitable for various economic operators. Companies with expertise in healthcare, legal advocacy, and mental health support services would find this opportunity particularly advantageous. The resulting contracts also ensure a steady, long-term engagement with the potential for annual extensions, fostering growth and sustainability for participating businesses.
