Notice Title

Appointment of Consultation Specialist

Notice Description

Our aim is to restore the Mount, creating a place of regional importance by delivering a vision to inspire and encourage people to visit and engage with its heritage. Our stage-one application to the Parks for People Heritage Lottery programme set out our ambitious plans to develop the participation of our target audiences over a three year period. We presented a series of options to the HLF which will follow the restoration of the garden and includes two buildings which will be reused for community benefit. We adopted a creative approach to consultation, which began in 2015 with a spaceshaper workshop with stakeholders and was followed by the use of a storyteller, bespoke props and a treasure hunt to engage school groups. The focus of this commission will be helping the project team to consult a broad range of users and stakeholders, so that the community is engaged in the development of the proposals for the restoration works and the activity plan. You will need to be passionate, confident and creative in exploring the options and leading the work. We are seeking new ideas for the form of consultation which will build on the themes we have developed so far and help empower the community so that they feel more involved in their local area. See downloads for further information about the commission and project background.
