The North East London Child Sexual Abuse - Emotional Support Service tender, initiated by the N E L Commissioning Support Unit, is currently in the planning stage. This procurement process focuses on providing early emotional support services for children and families involved in child sexual abuse assessments across the boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, City and Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest. Interested organisations must express their interest by 12:00 noon on 24th August 2018, with initial site visits scheduled between 30th July and 17th August 2018. The service will aim to run for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension, classified under health and social work services.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) specialising in health and social work services. Companies with expertise in trauma-informed care, advocacy, and case management, particularly those who can offer tailored support to children and families, would be well-suited to compete. The holistic nature of the service, which includes collaboration with healthcare professionals and potential referrals to specialised services, enhances the scope for organisations that can deliver effective, community-focused support.
