The initiative aims to enhance connectivity across approximately 160 sites in Essex, with a focus on flexible technology solutions. Interested suppliers are invited to participate in market engagement sessions scheduled to take place remotely via Microsoft Teams from 5th to 17th March 2021. Written responses to a problem statement must be submitted by 12:00 noon on 8th February 2021, and selected suppliers will be notified during the week commencing 22nd February 2021. The primary location for this initiative is the East of England, with ECC specifically seeking input from suppliers in the networks industry.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in modern networking solutions, particularly those equipped to respond to the evolving needs post-Covid-19. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in network design and implementation are particularly encouraged to engage. Suppliers will benefit from showcasing their capabilities during the market sessions, which may also open avenues for collaboration with other public sector bodies in future contracts, thereby expanding their business prospects in the public procurement sphere.
