Summary of the contracting process

The N E L COMMISSIONING SUPPORT UNIT is initiating a procurement process for "End of Life Services" aimed at providing nursing support to patients nearing the end of life. PIN Notice - PRJ-922 End of Life Rapid Response Service BHR CCGs Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Groups (BHR CCGs) are looking to invest in an End of Life Rapid Response Service. The service will provide nursing support out of hours (8pm -6am) 7 days a week to patients who are nearing/at the end of life and for their families. The support will include nursing interventions, personal care and family support. The service may support a patient and their family at home for up to 4 hours or longer, to avoid hospital admission. The prospective provider will need to be: * Able to provide an out of hours (8pm-6am) service all through the year * Able to demonstrate a proven track record and expertise of working with adult patients who are nearing/at the end of life and their families * Able to demonstrate established relationships with the providers of community services, LAS, hospices and primary care in North East London * Able to start the service from 1st August 2020 * Able to demonstrate CQC Registration for this service * Able to demonstrate that you have the internal resource(s) and capability to take on, manage and provide this service * Able to demonstrate that you currently operate or have operated similar services within the past three years.
