Summary of the contracting process

Essex County Council has completed the procurement process for the '0665 Driver Training (NDORS and Non-NDORS)' project, which falls under the education and training services category. This contract, valued at £3,500,000, aims to deliver both theoretical and practical driver training courses over a period of four years from January 16, 2020, to December 1, 2023. The tender was processed using an open procedure, with bids accepted until December 2, 2019. Training will be provided at various venues throughout Essex, encompassing six lots with no limits on the number of suppliers for Lots A1 to A5, while Lot A6 is restricted to one supplier.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in driver training services, particularly those able to deliver courses aligned with the National Driver Offender Re-training Scheme (NDORS) as well as other driving-related training. Both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to participate, making this a viable opportunity for a wide range of suppliers in the driver training industry seeking to expand their client base within the East of England.
