Notice Description

The Faculty of Business and Law is developing a bespoke space (Professional Services Suite) which will include a number of computer terminals sufficient for a seminar group (around 25 terminals) and a large wall-mounted television screen showing business news. The Faculty invite tenders for a software package for this space. The software should be a global financial and macroeconomic database covering equities, stock market indices, currencies, company fundamentals, fixed income securities and key economic indicators. The provision should give a realistic business-type experience to our students, enhancing student experience and employability by providing a high quality 'real world' experience using state-of-the-art software, enable us to develop our curriculum by the enhancement of existing modules and assist the development of new modules and courses. Students (UG, PG and Doctoral) should be able to use the package for both class work and in-depth quantitative research in finance and economics. The package should include global business and financial news, data, analytical tools and research which will enable students to analyse financial markets, assess economic scenarios and interpret key news developments that impact the global economy.
