Notice Description

The overall aim of this procurement is to select a supplier who will: a) Carry out a Historic Environmental Assessment fit for the purpose of an EIA process according to latest best practice guidelines; b) Ensure the Historic Environment chapter of the Environment Statement can be relied upon by decision-makers and that it is accurate, succinct, objective, focused on the key issues and easy to understand; c) Work alongside engineers and other environmental contributors to ensure that the results of the assessment inform the design proposals as part of an iterative process, leading to a final proposed design of a good quality that mitigates adverse environmental effects to acceptable levels and maximises opportunities for beneficial effects on the character, quality and function of the area as far as practicable; d) Take account of the views of people affected, including statutory and non-statutory consultees as part of the planning process.
