Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves a soft market test titled "Soft Market Test for the Provision of Carer Services" initiated by Peterborough City Council. The procurement falls under the health and social work services industry category and is based in the East of England, UK. Currently in the planning stage, the buying organisation is seeking engagement from interested parties to inform their approach ahead of the expected tender issuance in April 2019. Interested organisations must complete a Soft Market Testing Questionnaire by 12 noon on 23rd November 2018, and individual meetings will take place in December 2018.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in carer services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). By engaging in this early stage of procurement, businesses can contribute to shaping the service specifications, enhancing their chances of success in the future open tender. Those well-suited to compete will have experience in providing health and social work services, and their involvement in this soft market test allows them to better understand the requirements and position themselves effectively for potential contracts starting in February 2020.
