Summary of the contracting process

The Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is currently seeking expressions of interest for the replacement of its bedside patient entertainment system installed in 2009. This procurement, identified as DBH 02344, falls under the IT services category, specifically focused on consulting and software development. The tender period is set to close on 18 May 2018, and the contract is expected to commence on 1 May 2019, lasting until 13 April 2028. The buying organisation responsible for this tender is NOE-CPC, located in South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, and it is being procured through an open procedure, which is above the threshold for public contracts.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT services and entertainment software development. Companies that can provide innovative solutions for patient entertainment systems, particularly those capable of collaborating effectively with NHS trusts, would be well-positioned to compete. As this is a recurrent procurement, smaller and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to consider participation, especially since the project caters to a healthcare environment that values quality and reliability in service delivery.
