Summary of the contracting process

The Bristol City Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "museum catering and hire," aimed at potentially re-tendering the food and beverage services at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and M Shed. Categorised under canteen and catering services, this initiative is located in the South West of England. The council is actively engaging stakeholders, with an engagement end date set for 23rd February 2018. Interested parties are invited for a site tour on 21st March 2017, commencing at M Shed, followed by the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, to gather insights about the potential partnership.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the catering and hospitality sector, particularly those experienced in providing restaurant services and event management. Companies that can deliver a comprehensive food and beverage experience while aligning with the cultural values of a museum would be particularly well-suited to participate. Furthermore, the council seeks partners capable of capital investment to enhance service offerings, which could be advantageous for businesses looking to expand their reach and portfolio in the public sector.
