Summary of the contracting process

Unite Procurement UK Limited is seeking suppliers on behalf of the Ministry of Defence to provide standardised Army-branded clothing packages for Arms and Services Engagement Teams. Each package comprises a quilted puffer jacket, a softshell jacket, stretch trousers, three moisture-wicking T-shirts and three pairs of physical training shorts. The requirement covers manufacture, Army branding, packaging and delivery of complete packages in sizes confirmed by the authority. The clothing is intended for public-facing recruitment and engagement events, routine travel and outdoor activity, providing a consistent professional Army identity and practical wear for those settings. This is a goods requirement for military uniforms. Delivery is within the United Kingdom.

The buyer invited suppliers to express interest in joining the Unite Procurement Platform through a selective catalogue-purchase process; multiple suppliers may be onboarded rather than appointing a sole supplier. The stated deadline for expressions of interest was 2 November 2026 at 16:00 UTC. The contract period runs from 3 November 2026 to 3 November 2028. The estimated procurement value is £100,000 to £350,000. Suppliers are asked to provide details of their product range, modification capabilities and maintenance services when registering interest. The procurement description calls for a one-off issue and excludes recurring supply, repair, replacement, laundering, post-acceptance alteration and ongoing stock management. The stated evaluation basis is not detailed in the process information.

This opportunity may suit clothing manufacturers and suppliers able to provide coordinated, branded apparel in a range of sizes, including outdoor jackets, stretch trousers, moisture-wicking shirts and physical training shorts. Suppliers need to manage Army branding, package the specified garments together and deliver them as a coordinated issue; an alternative delivery schedule can be agreed in writing. The buyer is seeking a diverse supply base, so the route is not restricted to a single appointed supplier. The notice describes the platform as serving UK public-sector organisations with low-value, high-volume procurement, and identifies small and medium-sized enterprises and voluntary, community and social enterprises as suitable. Product range and modification capabilities are requested as part of supplier interest. Maintenance services are also requested as information, although ongoing repair or replacement is excluded from this clothing requirement.
